George Unloads a Truckload of Truth. Will Trumpers Accept Delivery?

Trump has set a record for lying but so far his faithful followers don’t seem to care, or understand. We don’t have room for all 30,000-plus of Trump’s documented lies, but here are a few…

Truth – noun – the quality or state of being true.

BUT WHAT IS “truth”?

It is not, as somewhere south of 50 percent of the nation’s voters believe, what THEY are told or what THEY believe it Is. Truth is what IT IS.

Truth is not flexible; there is no “alternative truth”, as President Donald Trump’s counselor and public relations mouthpiece, Kellyanne Conway once stated, in trying to clean up one of her boss’s verbal jumbles.

Can Trump supporters handle the truth about the honest-to-goodness leader of the 2024 version of the Republican Party? Or are they pawns for Jack Nicholson’s famous line from “A Few Good Men” – “You can’t handle the truth!”

Can you, Donald Trump Republicans, handle the truth?

TRUTH: The Washington Post has reporter whose only task was to track Trump’s lies; the total was more than 31,000 at last count.

TRUTH: Trump’s mouth and social media posts are the cause of all of his troubles. He is the only president in history to be charged with felonies (91 separate counts in four judicial jurisdictions at one time), the only former president to be arrested, fingerprinted and forced to pose for a mugshot.

TRUTH: He verbally bullies his detractors, and puts their lives and those of their families in danger, by “outing’ them to his followers.

TRUTH: Trump owes a lady he was proven to have sexually assaulted more than $88 million for defamation. He was ordered to pay E. Jean Carroll $5 million for defamation, and then, defamed her again and was ordered to pay her $83.3 million more. Of course, he is appealing and had to post a $92 million bond while the appeal progresses.

TRUTH: The number of former Trump cabinet members, aides, former lawyers, and even former Vice President Mike Pence have publicly  stated they will not endorse Trump in his re-election bid. The list of “no longer Trumpers” is impressive: Former Atty. Gen. Bill Barr; Trump’s Secs. of Defense. James Mattis and Mark Esper; U.N. Ambassador and Trump’s national security advisor, John Bolton; White House aides Cassidy Hutchinson, Anthony Scaramucci, Alyssa Farah Griffin, and Jenna Ellis; former personal attorney Michael Cohen; and, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Mark Milley.

TRUTH: In about three decades, until he was elected president, Trump had been involved in more than 4,000 lawsuits, with many of the court battles coming from suppliers claimed the real estate developer had “stiffed” them. Multiple law firms, hired by Trump to handle lawsuits, had to sue after he short-changed them.

TRUTH: Trump has taken bankruptcy six times; his “university” was sued by students and Trump was ordered to pay $25 million in damages.

TRUTH: Trump is set to go on trial on April 15 in New York as a criminal defendant because of his ordering payment of $130,000 to porn star Stormy Daniels. His fixer, Michel Cohen, paid Daniels to not release information about her sex romp with Trump. The tryst supposedly happened right after Melania Trump gave birth to son Barron.

TRUTH: Until Cohen testified under oath, Trump repeatedly stated he knew nothing about the payoff to Daniels. He doubled down with the $150,000 payment to playboy model Karen McDougal after a sex romp he wanted to keep quiet.

TRUTH: Trump pleaded not guilty last year to a 37-count indictment related to his mishandling of classified documents. He additionally refused to return hundreds of documents, some containing nuclear secrets, others outlining U.S. defense capabilities to the government archives.

TRUTH: Trump is on record saying Social Security has to be changed.
He said new people joining the roles will “destroy Social Security. There’s too many of them It’s not sustainable.”

TRUTH: Trump is hawking Bibles and gold sneakers and Trumpinator teddy bears and $2 bills with his and Melania’s picture on them, plus a Trump bobblehead doll hugging an American flag. He’s like a carnival barker on steroids.

TRUTH: Sifting through the bullyboy rhetoric, misinformation, and  downright lies is not a chore for those easily offended. Trump’s most dangerous lie was “The coronavirus is under control.”

TRUTH: The dumbest lie Trump told became known as “Sharpiegate”. Trump tweeted that Alabama would be hit by hurricane Dorian, even though the U.S. Weather Service had declared otherwise. Rather than just admit his forecast had been a bit premature, Trump crudely fixed the official weather map with a Sharpie to show he was right.

TRUTH: Trump lied about the Boy Scouts. Always proud of accolades, Trump stated the “head of the Boy Scouts” called to say Trump’s recent speech to the organization was ‘the greatest speech ever made to them.” In an official statement the organization went public with the fact no call was ever made to Trump.

TRUTH: The lie-to-top-all-lies lie was he stated more than once that noise from windmills cause cancer.
